Life and ambitious life can be perilous enough with such catches. To ad more, more seasoning to your reasoning, an extra complication; the world is also in desperate times. Seas are foaming with plastic while enormous wealth is pooling and stagnating in the hands of the rich adding millions to the army of the desperate… “hanging on in quiet desperation.”
The only ones with the luxury to deny this reality are simply not desperate. We measure in Billions i assure you.
Ignore this at your peril. As people sense decline they begin to adapt and adjust their methods. Many you know will change as their fortunes and security change. Much of what you understand as fair will be discarded continuously to serve someone else’s interest.
Many will appear desperate and act fine. Others will actually be fine yet act out of desperation and excessive fear.. Some will just be envious self serving people that always secure their own position at the expense of others.
Meanwhile the Earth quietly marches from 7 to 8 billion. Globalization sends capital scurrying around the earth to find lower labor and jobs vanish and reappear somewhere else. Giving us all the sense that our castles of security are built on hills of sand.
What you thought were the rules now seem only to apply to you. And what happens when all these justifying souls begin to feel risk, begin to panic far ahead of you?
