This does not mean you should throw yourself mercilessly against the rocks and waves until the tide changes.
It means you must truly understand what deeds and goals you hold as primary principles and goals of your life and stick to their expression and example.
And after serious loss or serious challenge, will only for moments accept the battle to exemplify or fulfill them will not be restarted again with greater wisdom and fervor upon rest and reflection. As such you can never be defeated.
And will never feel defeated.
Your constant aim is to return to your path of building meaning.
A purposeful pursuit…. in itself provides vistas and views that are very useful in life and the source of the wisdom of which we spoke.
It especially enables the wiser consideration of the value of things. and the value of time you sacrifice to buy a new car, phone…
That wisdom can only be gained by what you will do no matter what.
If it rains tomorrow.
Or in times of sorrow.
I will no matter what.
However remember this well for frustration you will find in abundance: if a guiding principle that you pursue with unbending intent is you will be kind to others, and you find yourself frustrated, irritated and at risk from others taking advantage of you, then this does not mean blame yourself for too little will.
If you know you hold this principle in highest regard and application, then accept prolonged frustration to be a sign of a needed change in settings or environment.
If you are trapped in a pattern where extraordinary influence is in conflict with your key principles be confident in your choice. Often in these situations the more pressure or contrary influence you receive the greater the likelihood your principles are correct.
This is called following a path of heart.
And it may not be easy, but i guarantee it is worth it.
And i learned this most by how i felt when i failed to.
